Unionville Festival

Main Street celebrates 40 years (1970-2010) of this annual spring festival for lots of family fun. Highlights include a Parade on Saturday morning, Fireworks over TooGood Pond on Saturday evening, along with a fun run, treasure hunt and a Main Street market on Sunday.

Friday Night Street Fest – 7 p.m. to Midnight
Stroll up and down Main Street for an evening of food, friends and good times. Again this year, the restaurants and pubs of Unionville offer delicious meals and bands fill the air with live music. Taste, tap your toes and share the experience!

Festival Parade on Main Street – 10 a.m.
The largest parade in York Region starts at Library Lane and heads south on Main Street to Hwy 7. This year’s special guests: riders from the Governor General’s Horse Guards in honour of the regiment’s 200th anniversary. Enjoy dozens of floats, bands, Krazy Krafts and more!
Pondapalooza at Toogood Pond – 12 p.m.–3 p.m.
-Krazy Kraft Race ($1000 in prizes!),
-Chip and putt with the Angus Glen team
-Canoeing and friendly canoe races
-BBQ and music
Rubber Ducky Race – 2:30 p.m.
Spend $2 and watch your duck battle its way along Bruce Creek to victory. Race starts at the Main St. Bridge just north of Carlton.
FunZone by the Rinks – All Day
Kids of all ages play between Crosby Arena and the Curling Club. Check out the Toronto Maple Leafs Mobile Dressing Room and YTV’s “Weird on Wheels,” plus basketball galore thanks to the Raptors Nets, and Hoops with Silver Knights Basketball. Visit the Jumping Castles in Crosby Park.

Shop at dozens of craft and food booths up and down Main St. and along Carlton

One of the highlights of Festival Saturday is the terrific choice of music that takes place up and down Main Street.
Concert & Beer Garden in the Park
Come to Crosby Park in the afternoon for a rockin’ good time. For those 19+, enjoy a brew or cooler as well, thanks to our famous Beer Garden.
Silent Auction in Crosby Park
As you enjoy music and refreshments in Crosby Park, bid on great auction items. Proceeds support ongoing Unionville Festival activities.
Fireworks at Toogood Pond – Dusk
Join your neighbours and friends along the banks of Toogood Pond to witness a fantastic display of fire power and lights.

Family Fun Day in the Park – 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Come to Crosby Park and jump into a day packed with fun for everyone. Races, games, and contests for all ages, plus Discovery Toys play area. Lots of giveaway! Take a look at all these special events!
Pet Contest – 11 a.m.
Bring your pet and compete in a host of categories – “Best Dressed,” “Owner/Pet Look-alike,” “Best Trick” and more. No registration needed. Just show up and show off!
Karaoke Contest
Our own “Unionville Idol” Kids Karaoke returns, complete with stage, microphones and plenty of talent.
Family Treasure Hunt – 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
Again this year, form a family team, follow the clues and bring your answers back to Treasure Hunt HQ in Crosby Park to be eligible for great prizes. Grand prize: $500 in loonies! Every participating family will receive a gift bag with t-shirts.
