Enjoy the last days of summer strolling Main Street Unionville as you explore our unique shops, restaurants and patios and learn about Unionville's cultural heritage. A long-time supporter of the arts and culture of Unionville, the merchants of Main Street present some of the biggest names and most talented Big Bands in the GTA. While you stroll the village between performances, take advantage of our great sidewalk sales all weekend!

Cobbler Jay the Eccentric Juggler - All Day
Be amazed by Cobbler Jay as he displays his talents at the ancient art of fire eating. Kids and adults of all ages will be entertained by his crazy stunts and amazing juggling abilities. As a strong supporter of busker artists the merchants of Main Street welcome Cobbler jay to the street as one of our street performers.

Not Affiliated Big Band with June Garber - 1-5pm
The Not Affiliated Big Band is a 20-piece, all-age, jazz / swing band. Specializing in energetic music of the jazz persuasion, the musicians are a diverse and intriguing blend of dynamic musicians who love performing fun and powerful music for appreciative audiences. Over the band’s nine-year history, Not Affiliated has developed into an exciting show band, blowing away listeners with both their musicality and their amazingly fun and relaxed stage presence. Most of the group’s members are music students, music teachers, and of course music lovers! Not Affiliated’s live show has something for everyone, appealing to all ages.


Markham Concert Band - 12-2pm
The Markham Concert Band was formed in 1978, and with over 65 members, it is one of the largest community bands in Canada! Band members include young and old from many fields of endeavour.  All brought together with one purpose in mind - to serve the community with the best in concert band music.

Toronto Mega City Swing Band - 11am-2pm
Big-band lovers of all ages have danced to and enjoyed the sounds of this energetic and exciting band. If you like swing, you'll love the Toronto Megacity Swing Band.

Formed in 1998, the Toronto Megacity Swing Band is an 18-piece jazz orchestra that performs both the songs made famous by the big bands of the '30s and '40s as well as modern works in the swing style.


Uptown Swing Band - 2-6pm
The Uptown Swing Band a Toronto based 10-piece “Little Big Band” whose repertoire celebrates the best swing music from three decades. With both male and female vocalists to draw upon, the Uptown Swing Band faithfully recreates favourites from the swing-era 40s, jump and jive music from the fabulous 50s, and Rat Pack performances from the swingin’ 60s, plus a few Ballroom Classics in every memorable show.


Klaus the Organ Grinder - 12-5pm
Enjoy strolling along the street with the Bavarian sounds of Klaus the Organ Grinder.
